Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994, after she dropped her debut album Age Ain't nothing but A number. Her album, which was launched when she was only fifteen years old it went Gold. The group's collaboration heavily influential to R. Kelly's musical style, made her a star. In 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It contained If You Girls Only Knew the single that was most popular. Aaliyah received international recognition for her R&B singing through the album. She starred with martial arts legend Jet Li in 2000's action-romance film Romeo Must Die. The role was offered to her after being spotted by producer Joel Silver at an awards show. The actress is Indian American of the one generation who was who was born in Connecticut. The stage name Mann is an abbreviation of her married name Mankad. Aarti is a combination of Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as professional names. While she started out by playing minor film and television roles her acting career gained speed in the late 2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her other notable works are Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). She also appeared in several commercials including Volvo as well as other major auto brands. She is currently working on her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
